The Potter's Wheel
When you're troubled and discouraged
In the darkness of the night
When obstruction clouds your vision
And you just can't see the light.
When life's trials overcome you
And you have nowhere to turn
When you've reached the very bottom
There are lessons you must learn.
For the clay is being molded
It's been twisted, pulled and tossed
It's been rolled and it's been pounded
Till the ego has been lost.
He will put you through the furnace
You'll be tested to the brim
Your life will be in pieces
Till you give your soul to Him.
From blemish to perfection
His hands will form the clay
This human piece of rubble
Must let God have His way.
When you come to Him all battered
In the form of mortal man
When you cry to Him in mercy
You will find the Potter's hand.
He will grind you, mold and chisel
The friction you will feel
Till He gently carves and shapes you
Upon the Potter's wheel.

In Time of Need
In Time of Need
Heavenly Father, in my present need, help me to believe that You are aware of my anxiety and will do what is best for me. Give me the strength to trust You and put the present and future in Your Hands. Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

A Creed For Those Who Have Suffered
A Creed For Those Who Have Suffered
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve.
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey...
I asked for health, that I might do great things.
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things...
I asked for riches, that I might be happy.
I was given poverty, that I might be wise...
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God...
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life.
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things...
I got nothing I asked for - but everything I had hoped for;
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among men, most richly blessed!

Prayer to Our Holy Mother
Prayer to Our Holy Mother
Sweet Holy Mother, virtuous in all things, open my heart today to be
dutiful to the Sacred Mysteries of the Trinity and to be obedient to the
Sacred Word of God. Bring me, Dear Mother, to the feet of your Son, Jesus,
that I may follow Him along the path to holiness. Keep me close to
Christ, walking with a steady pace, that I may neither look to the world
nor to vain glory lest I fall from the straight and beautiful path of
salvation. Be my protection as I am in darkness. Strengthen and solidify
my reserve to do God's Holy Divine Will. Put my heart at ease in the
Heart of Jesus as I place my heart in yours. Oh Mary! Queen of the
Apostles, and Holy Virtuous Heart, have mercy on me and lead me to God
through the great and wondrous virtues.
Amen

Prayer for Strength and Light
Prayer for Strength and Light
We adore You, O Holy Spirit. Give us strength, give us light, console us. We give ourselves entirely to You. O Spirit of light and grace, we want to only do the will of the Father. Enlighten us that we may live always in the Father's will. Eternal Spirit fill us with Your Divine Wisdom that we may comprehend more fully insight into Your Divine Mysteries. Give us lights, O Holy Spirit that we may know God. Work within the heart, the spiritual womb of the Virgin Mary, to form us more and more into the image of Jesus.
Amen

St John Eudes' Mass
St John Eudes' Mass
Father of mercies and God of all consolation,
You gave us the loving Heart of your own beloved Son,
because of the boundless love by which You have loved us,
which no tongue can describe.
May we render You a love that is perfect with hearts made one with His.
Grant, we pray, that our hearts may be brought to perfect unity:
each heart with the other and all hearts with the Heart of Jesus,
and may the rightful yearnings of our hearts find fulfillment through Him:
Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen
